Enternet 300 (DSL connection software) is horrible. Then again, perhaps it's only PacBell's service that's horrible.

I plan on writing all my blog entries on paper, initially. We'll see how this works out. My motivation is primarily that I spend so much time sitting around in coffee shops listening to the music and drawing - this being for me a creativity inducing environment Of course, the caffeine tends to dampen that somewhat. At least I have good tools for the job.

Well, while there's a lot of room for complaint about the state of the NBA - players, teams, owners & organizations, and especially refs - tonight my biggest gripe would be for the camera crew. Channel 31 (local UPN broadcast affiliate) must have brought in a McDonalds team to run the cameras. Shaky, long shots of the wrong people at the wrong time, long shots of the action from knee-level when a higher angle was a must, difficulty following the ball, and one glaring example of running a meaningless replay while action was ongoin , in this case being a Stojokavic triple.

I won't really go into the announcers, whom are, as any Kings fan can tell you, painfully annoying. Jerry Reynolds has a rather dubious talent of stating the obvious .... at length, repeatedly. I suppose there's a good reason why he's not in a more influential position with the organization (having been in many positions within the organization including head coach, in the past), and his on-air style offers some hints.

On the plus side, for all their offensive slopiness, the Kings both entertained and won the game. Good overall shooting while struggling from the line - though Webber was clutch there, in the fourth - and the ever more consistently good defense provided a win that was only surprising in how close the Nets kept it. Shooting near 59%, including 7-15 3pt., will get you a win near every time. New Jersey just doesn't seem ready to match the Kings, certainly on the defensive end; they also lack the strength to score inside with regularity, and not just against Sacramento.
