This is the sort of stuff that make cosmologists weak in the knees, and rightfully so. Very, very big news - we've now got a map of the universe (kind of). At the very least: It's 13.7 billion years old; it's flat; we know the Hubble constant - 71; we have a good breakdown on it's composition. A whole bunch of theories just got real obsolete, real fast. So did a whole bunch of books, including a couple in my stacks.
Very interesting times ahead in cosmology (well, that's always been the case, of course...)
